7th Tradition

Contributions to Al-Anon Family Groups (AFG)
Northern California District 23 (Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties)

There are several ways to practice our 7th Tradition without leaving the comfort (and security) of your home.  Three options are explained below.

Option 1
Send a check to District 23. Make your check payable to District 23 AFG.

Donations for Institutions or any other specific purpose should be indicated in the memo section of the check. Donations for Alateen should be made payable to District 23 Alateen.

Option 2
You can send money to District 23 via PayPal.  For this option, you need to have a PayPal account.

Important Notes: The district pays a fee when you send money via PayPal. To offset this fee, you can either increase the amount of your donation to cover the PayPal fee (3% to 5% of your donation amount) or send a check to the district (See Option 1).

Additionally, the screenshots below may be different from what you see in your PayPal account, but you should be able to follow the process outlined below.

To send money to District 23 via PayPal:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for an account.
  2. On your PayPal Dashboard, select Send.
  1. Type d23treasurer@gmail.com in the Send money field (A) and then select Send to: d23treasurer@gmail.com when it appears onscreen (B). Make sure there are no spaces at the end of the email address.
  1. When you see d23treasurer in the Send money field, click Next.
  1. Enter the amount of your donation in US Dollars (USD) and then click Continue.
  1. Select your personal information and payment method. PayPal may ask you additional questions if you have not set up your default preferences. After making your selections, click Send Payment Now.

Option 3
Donate to the World Service Office. You can either send a check or make a donation online.

To send a check, make your check payable to AFG, Inc. and mail it to:

To make an online donation, go to https://al-anon.org/contributions/member/ and pay by credit card or PayPal. The WSO is in great need of financial support.
